Taoyuan metro green line is the first railway project designed and built by Taoyuan City Government. The total length of Taoyuan metro green line is 27.8 kilometers with 21 stations (including 10 underground and 11 viaduct). TY Lin Taiwan design the viaduct bridge section and metro viaduct was hoisted in the early morning of 27 April. The Mayor of Taoyuan, Chang San-Cheng visited the field of bridge construction to witness this imperative milestone of Taoyuan metro green line. During the early morning installation, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck off the coast of Taiwan Hualien County, but the construction team confirmed that it had no impact on the installation work and the installation of the entire unit was completed at 3:03 am.

TY Lin Taiwan is responsible for the design of the elevated bridges for the Taoyuan metro Green Line GC01. The length of this section is 10 km approximately and the bridge types include precast prestressed U-girders, box girders and steel girders, which are designed according to seismic design code for bridges in Taiwan and can withstand the seismicity classification of 6.0 earthquake, and the seismic capacity of the bridges has been demonstrated in recent earthquakes and no damage to the viaduct bridges. Taoyuan metro green line steel box bridges and pre-stressed girder bridges adopt three different fall preventions to ensure that no disaster will occur to prevent economic losses and casualties.
