T.Y.LIN participated in the construction of the general contractor Shinyuan Construction to implement the Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC). The groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 31, 2023, attended by T.Y.LIN's vice president Mr. Huang Pi Chien. The construction period of this project is 680 days and expected to be completed in 2025. In Taiwan this vehicle test field is the first all-weather, high-speed, self-driving real vehicle performance test field. It can provide intelligent vehicles, automotive electronic systems, automotive sensor systems and other products for all types of vehicles in situations such as heavy rain, density fog, tunnels or viaducts. Under different weather and environmental conditions such as rainfall, foggy, sunrise, sunset or night time, conduct different scenario tests for vehicle system identification. In the rainfall testing part, hourly accumulated rainfall exceeds 100 millimeters as the extremely heavy rain level by CWB. The maximum speed of the vehicle reaches 110 kilometers per hour, allowing various types of vehicles to conduct two-way tests in the 200-meter-long tunnel, whether in the design of test vehicle’s speed or rainfall coverage, all refer to the settings of international professional institutions such as Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI) and Center of Automotive Research on Integrated Safety Systems and Measurement Area (CARISSMA) in Germany.
With the advanced fifth-generation technology and Internet of Things (iot) technology and the rise of autonomous car technology, the company continues to participate in innovative technologies such as smart road technology, Vehicle-to-everything (V2X), smart rail technology and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). T.Y.LIN Taiwan embrace emerging high-end challenges out the comfort zone, to reach the latest international smart road technologies. |
