Taipei Mass Rapid Transit Tamshui Line Design Viaduct
Taipei Mass Rapid Transit Tamshui Line Design Viaduct

Product Description

This section of the MRT line is elevated, using precast prestressed concrete box girders.  It is divided for up and down rails, each 4.5m width and 1.3m depth, with spans ranging from 20m to 26m.  When crossing physical obstacles (river and roadway) continuous long span cast in-situ box girders are used, with Keelung River Bridge the longest, with spans of 45m-69m-69m-45m.  This section of the MRT line consists of 10 stations, all built with traditional Chinese art of architecture.  The design of the roof looks like the Chinese Character "人", assembled from hollow square steel sections.  Peitou Station is the only station in Tamshui line that adopts the space truss design and transparent curtain wall with a modern outlook.  The station at Chientan possesses many special features.  Its "dragon boat" shape roof is suspended by steel cables to two Pylon Columns at a height of 38m, over 180m of length .  It is also the most magnificent station among the rest.
