The building is located in the Xinyi district of Taipei City. It is of rectangular shape; measuring 69m from north to South, and 140m from east to west. It has a total area of 9,660m2 . The building is comprised of 30 stories with 7 underground levels. It reaches a total height of 156.4 m. In order to properly resist wind and earthquake loads, the steel skyscraper composed of 3 structural systems (Mega Structural System). The four corners of tower are strengthened with eccentrically braced frames in both directions. Furthermore, fluid viscous dampers are added from the 1st floor to the 7th floor. The building was designed by the world renowned architect Mr. Kenzo Tange from Japan and Haigo Shen and Partners from Taiwan. TYLIN was in charge of the architectural and structural design work.
