The Taipei World Trade Center is located at the Xinyi District, adjacent to Xinyi road and Keeling road. It is a complex function exhibition building with variety of software and hardware facilities. It consists of exhibition halls, The Taipei International Convention Center, The Taipei International Trade Building, and The Grand Hyatt Hotel (5 stars). The exhibition hall is 7 floors high with a 2 floor basement. It was designed by a world known architect and it adopts 18m long cast-in-place prestressed post-tensioned concrete girders and precast prestressed pre-tensioned concrete beams. On the other hand, The Grand Hyatt Hotel is a reinforced concrete structure building encompassing a 30m long pool at its roof. The structure adopts a dual lateral force resisting system (shear wall and 3D steel structure). Furthermore, it has two transition floors (4th and 5th) to solve column discontinuity problems.
